Challenge
Novabike is the student racing team of the TU delft. As a member Wido was responsible for the design of the chassis (togehter with Yoeri Sigterman). The challenge was to design and build a new racing chassis that could hold the KTM 690 duke engine. This should be as light as possible but still be strong enough to race in the supermono Championship.
Achievements
The frame and swing arm were made by hand by Wido, back then still as a student at the TU Delft. At the racing track we got a lot of positive feedback on the self made chassis. We got several encouragements to use this ability more. This was the trigger to start thinking of an own company……and eventually led to the founding of Wimoto.
