Challenge
The challenge was to build a café racer that could have come right from the factory. The project started with the MS-paint drawing of the client. This gave a good impression of the look we were aiming for. The donor bike, the Ft500, unfortunately was not the best starting point. After disassembly the bike it showed that it had been in a serious crash. The rear section is of the frame was twisted quit badly…and then the fun starts….

Achievements
The original frame was twisted so badly that we had to rebuild the rear section. Chromoly was used to increase rigidity to the frame. The tank of a gs400 was modified to fit as well as the tail section. The seat was custom made and sent to Tiger leathers for upholstery. The front suspension of a CBR400rr is used to increase handling and give the desired horizontal café racer look.
